Welcome to the Blue Knights
OH XXVII Website.
In the Spring of 1974, several law enforcement
officers from the Bangor, Maine (USA) area met and formed a small, local
motorcycle club. Since that time it has grown to become an International
organization. The rest, as they say, is history. Today members represent the United States, Canada,
Australia, France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands,
Switzerland, England, Austria, Norway, Sweden, and Poland.
the Blue Knights
became an international organization.
Our Founding Fathers are: Joel Rudom, Bill Robinson,
Doug Miner, Ed Gallant, Mike Hall, Chuck Gesner, Wayne Labree, Chuck Shuman.
As of January 1, 2008, we have 586 chapters and almost 20,000 members in 28
countries. Many Blue Knights® work long and hard to raise money for various
charities. Especially near to our hearts is helping children. Make-a-Wish
Foundation, Toys for Tots, D.A.R.E., Concerns of Police Survivors as well as
local charities and families who have had a catastrophic development in
their lives.
The Blue Knights have donated to numerous charities;
contributing time in the amount of $3,576,620 (178,831 man hours @ $20 per
hour), goods with an estimated value of $592,935.49 and $5,865,257.07 in cash
for a total of $10,034,812.56 (USD). We're the good guys!
The Blue Knights is a family fraternity. Spouses and
children often accompany our members to the various rides and functions. When
travelling, local members can provide assistance, directions and sometimes a
place to stay. We are truly a family.
Among the Blue Knights® members,
"There are no strangers, only friends we haven't met yet."

As a Blue Knight I pledge to
act with honor and pride to

The fraternal spirit will always
guide me in relating to other
